During Women In Construction week we hosted four events that included: Conversations on Diversity and Inclusion, a Future of Construction event: Prefab and Sustainability, a LinkedIn Workshop and a Benefits of becoming a Construction Manager event. ABOUT US
Our mission of CSWIC is to promote and support the advancement of women who are interested in pursuing careers within the construction industry, while maintaining a space for collaboration, outreach, and networking. We strive to not only uplift women in the construction industry but to also raise the numbers of women in the construction industry.
We believe the networking is vital in our careers, and we’d like to connect women in the industry with Chico State by providing a space where you may ask other women in industry questions. In addition have conversations and get advice to help you be as successful as you can.

OUR OFFICERS
President
Natalia Leal

Senior Studying Construction Management at Chico State. Her goal is to encourage women to join the industry and provide resources to incoming students majoring in CM.
Vice President
Yasmeen Thune

Now Senior Majoring in Construction Management. She is passionate about green building and incorporating that to the industry in the future.
Secretary

Junior in Construction Management. She chose construction because it is a challenging yet successful industry. Excited to be apart of CSWIC to encourage more women to join the construction industry.
Treasurer

Returning student from San Francisco/ Oakland area graduating this spring. She is apart of CSWIC in hopes to inspire more women to entire into the field of construction.
Social Media Coordinator
Olivia Sandate

Returning student from San Francisco/ Oakland area graduating this spring. She is apart of CSWIC in hopes to inspire more women to entire into the field of construction.
Faculty Advisor

Has over twenty three years in the Construction and Facilities Management Industry. She has spent several years working in the Facilities Management Department at Chico State, doing renovations and energy retrofits.She has performed various roles over the years from Project Engineer, Project Manager, Preconstruction, Business
Development, Engineering Manager, Manager of Energy and Sustainability.
Marie now is an Assistant Professor in the Construction Management Department at Chico State.
